Tom Place has worked in the Further Education Sector since 1967 as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and head of Department in business and management Studies.

 

He has been in his current post of Director since January 1991, when he was appointed to the Newcastle College , and later to the East Down Institute of Further and higher Education on the merger of the Newcastle and Down colleges in 1994.

 

Tom has also been Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Northern Ireland Colleges (ANIC) since June 2002. ANIC represents all 16 colleges in furthering the aims and objectives of the Northern Ireland Further Education sector.

 

 

Mark Hamilton joined the Royal Ulster Constabulary in 1994.  During a varied career he has worked in both frontline and support functions such as Equal Opportunities and Positive Action for the recruitment of under-represented groups. He has extensive experience in frontline community policing and the policing of serious public disorder across Northern Ireland.  Currently D/Chief Inspector Hamilton is the lead officer on Child Abuse and Rape Investigation in the Police Service of Northern Ireland. He also leads the Computer Crime Unit investigating Internet and IT related crime.
